Hedgerow Trees Advice Note

Standard hedgerow trees have been an important part of our landscape for many generations. In the past they were grown to provide a source of firewood as well as building material and could be pollarded in the summer to provide winter fodder for livestock.  Today they are cherished by many for their contribution to the character and beauty of the British countryside and their benefits to wildlife.
