FWAG SW hosts the Somerset Catchment Partnership (SCP) which comprises a range of organisations dedicated to working together to improve the water environment and provide wider benefits for people and the environment at a catchment scale, this known as a Catchment Based Approach (CaBA).

The organisations also include, the Somerset Consortium of Drainage Boards, Somerset Wildlife Trust, RSPB, Wessex Water, AONBs, Environment Agency, National Trust, West Country Rivers Trust, Somerset County Council, West Country Rivers Trust, Forestry Commission, NFU and CLA.

CaBA was launched in 2013 with the support of Defra with two main aims; to work in partnership and work at the catchment scale. Each catchment across the country is represented by a Catchment Partnership.

The Somerset catchments includes the West Somerset Streams, and the rivers Parrett, Tone, Brue and Axe.
