An Update from FWAG SouthWest's Gary Rumbold Regarding the Current Government Guidance

I wanted to let you know that our farm advisers are still working and we can continue to provide the large majority of our services but with some changes in the way that we communicate with you, so that we can keep you and our workers safe.

Most of our workforce are currently working from home, but we do have some office cover and our telephone lines are being manned during normal office hours. If you want to speak to an adviser, you can contact them via their usual mobile number or their email address, or contact us at the main office on 01823 660684 and we can put you in touch.

We have instructed our farm advisers not to conduct face-to-face farm visits or meetings until further notice but they can provide advice to you by telephone and in many cases, if you have a PC or laptop we can also offer videoconferencing facilities to talk to you, which is particularly useful for looking through documents, images and grant application forms together.

We are providing Countryside Stewardship application services remotely, and where our social distancing guidelines can be met we may be able to offer urgent farm visits for field survey and soil sampling work, as long as there is no face-to-face contact with you or your families and workers.

Our team will strive to offer as normal a service as we can during the coronavirus emergency, so please do make contact if there is anything we can do to help you.

Stay safe,

Gary Rumbold
