The Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group, CPRE Gloucestershire and the Friends of the Cotswolds have teamed up to plant new hedges in Gloucestershire to enhance the landscape and help improve biodiversity, capture carbon, and contribute to improved water quality.

This exciting project is being supported nationally through the Government’s Farming in Protected Landscapes programme and by a CPRE sponsor.

Working with local farmers, we are recruiting volunteers offering you the opportunity to join us on five separate days over the winter where you will learn about hedges and be involved in planting, led by an instructor from the Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group.

These “experience days” will be fun and informative. The days will run from 10am – 2pm on the following days:

  • Saturday 15th January – Winchcombe
  • Tuesday 18th January – Bibury (fully booked)
  • Tuesday 25th January – Overbury
  • Tuesday 8th February – Stroud
  • Wednesday 23rd February – Bredon Hill

Once you have signed up an exact location and more information will be sent to you. Please bring a packed lunch with you.
