Are you interested in slowing the flow to reduce flooding, while creating habitats for wildlife? Or perhaps you’re concerned about the effects that Natural Flood Management might have on your farmland?

With help from Hills to Levels, Folly Farmyard has constructed a range of Natural Flood Management (NFM) features that both slow the flow and provide valuable habitats for wildlife. Join us for a farm walk to explore a number of these small-scale interventions and see how the ‘little and often’ approach can make a difference. We will discuss how to choose the right site and the right structure design to provide a range of environmental benefits while protecting productive farmland.

Meet in the car park at Dommett Wood Nature Reserve, Folly Lane, Somerset, TA20 3SP - the car park is quite hard to find so we will provide you with directions closer to the time. Please provide us with an email address so we can send you this.

Tea and cake will be provided at the end of the walk. The walk will be across steep, uneven and possibly wet ground so please bring appropriate footwear and outdoor clothing.

Spaces are limited so booking is essential; call 01823 660684 or email [email protected] or book below!
