Morning of talks and afternoon walk around Fyne Court to look at some of the major threats from pests and tree diseases facing woodlands and forestry in the South West.

Speakers include:

Mick Biddle, Forestry Commission Tree Health Officer, talking about the major threats from tree diseases we are facing now and in the future.

John Stowers, South West England Deer Management Adviser for the Deer Initiative, will be talking about the impacts of deer and their management in woodlands and forestry.

Dave Finneran from the Cornwall Red Squirrel Project with an update on the large-scale trapping of grey squirrels on The Lizard.

Sam Negus, Woodland Officer in Somerset, will cover the help and grants available from the Forestry Commission.
