News and blog News stories [01.02.19] FWAG SouthWest County Conservation Competitions for 2019 are now OPEN FOR ENTRIES! Each year FWAG SouthWest run county competitions to recognise and highlight the fantastic wildlife conservation and environmental work being carried out by farmers across the south west. We are now launching the competitions for 2019 and asking farmers to nominate yourself or you can put forward someone else. The competitions are open for a limited time, so don't wait!The county competitions are the Cornwall Otter, the Devon Bronze Otter, the Gloucestershire Silver Pintail and we are excited to announce the relaunch of the Somerset Otter Award for 2019! The winner of each county award goes on to represent their county in the regional Barn Owl Trophy, the winner of which goes forward as our regions entry into the FWAG Association's prestigious National Silver Lapwing Awards! How to enter? We encourage you to nominate yourself or you can put forward someone else.
