Kate joined FWAG SW in April 2022. With a degree in Zoology, she spent many years working in administration roles before completing an MRes in Biosciences and then a PhD. Her PhD investigated trade-offs in Ecosystem Services of salt marshes, with a particular focus on livestock grazing and an interest in looking at the ways that agriculture can be practiced to minimise the effects on, or enhance, the natural environment.

She loves British wildlife and being in the outdoors, so decided to pursue a career that would allow her to spend more time doing what she loves. After the PhD her goal was to do work that would have real applied benefits for wildlife and the environment, and a career with FWAG was the ideal way for her to do this.
