Financial Controller – Wellington, Somerset

Salary: £16,200 - £19,800, depending on experience

Hours: 22.5 hours per week (3 days)


Due to expansion, we are seeking a Financial Controller to join our small but busy Finance Team, based in our main offices in Wellington, Somerset.

FWAG SW is a charity that provides on-farm environmental advice to farmers on a wide range of agricultural and environmental issues.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the design, preparation and maintenance of effective financial reporting systems, working closely with the General Manager and a small finance and admin team to ensure that the charity is financially robust and is meeting all its financial compliance obligations.  This will require team working and the development of new systems, with support from management and colleagues. 

Candidates must have experience of using SAGE accounting software, be qualified to AAT Level 4, or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience and qualifications, as well as having a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a charity.  The post will suit a highly motivated and organised individual looking to work in the charitable sector.
