This year's theme is Our Living Landscape with three topics for you to discover: Grassland, Hedgerows and Soil.

Each topic has an introductory video presented by a local farmer. Each activity has a written activity guide and a how-to video to accompany it. There are nine activities to choose from but don’t worry - you are not expected to do them all, unless you want to! We recommend that you deliver one or two from each of the three topic areas.

For the schools taking part there are a number of suggested dates, which might be useful to put in your planning diary: 

17th May 2021: Virtual Kingfisher 2021 goes live on FWAG South West website.

By 29th May (ideally): Teaching staff to have delivered field day activities, using the films and resources here.

By 30th June: Children to have completed their research activities and collected materials for their presentation.

By 9th July: Digital presentation completed and submitted to Kingfisher Coordinator for judging. Online submission of your projects will open in due course. Check back here for the submission page (your KAS Coordinator will let you know when the link is live).

19th July: Kingfisher Award results announced.
