About us Meet the team Chief Executive Officer Chief Executive Officer Adam Lockyear has 25 years' experience in farming and conservation starting out as a reserve volunteer with the RSPB. He has managed his own flock of Exmoor Horn Sheep, run a dairy goat farm and in 2022 founded a Community Market Garden. He took on the role of CEO in April 2024 after 18 years as a Farm Environment Adviser for FWAG SW. He is passionate about fair access to healthy food, produced by farmers who share his passion for nature. "I believe FWAG has a unique role in our countryside and it is a privilege to be able to lead an organisation that can inspire and enable farm businesses to combine producing the best food whilst having a positive impact on nature and people. We deliver this through our trusted relationships and independent advice whilst accessing as diverse a range of funding as possible to support this". "We love to champion those who show leadership in the industry through our competitions and bring a wider audience to farms through our educational outreach. We also use our combined experience to influence the policies that help to support the environmental objectives that we share with the farmers we work with through engagement with government policy makers". FWAG is as relevant now as it was at it's founding in the 1960's. Manage Cookie Preferences
