The Kingfisher Award Scheme (KAS) provides children with the opportunity to go onto farms to explore the natural world.

Each Summer, Kingfisher Awards take place across the south west. Local schools are offered the chance to come along to a farm, and “Touch, feel and see the relationship between food, farming and wildlife.”

For these school days to take place, we rely on a vast number of wonderful volunteers, who come and give some of their time in order to help with a station, or shepherd a group of children around the stations - the children are given the opportunity to learn in amongst the wildlife!

If you think you might like to volunteer we would love to hear from you! Please enquire via [email protected] or follow the links to county coordinators on the KAS information page linked here.
