Last weekend, FWAG’s pilot Tree Guard Recycling Scheme was launched in Dorset. Those who registered donated over 400 tree guards, which were processed on the day by our team and the Preventing Plastic Pollution team from Queen Mary University of London.

We were able to reuse 26 tree guards on the day, with a further 200 reserved for reuse, and the rest will be sent for recycling.

A further 2,000 tree guards are scheduled to be dropped off on the 26h of April 2022.

We are encouraging local charities, community groups, farmers and landowners based in Dorset to register interest for our next drop off session.

Only by registering will your tree guards be accepted on the day of collection. Please see our official tree guard recycling page for full details of what we can recycle and to register or contact Neve Bray ([email protected]) to discuss further.
