What we do Conservation competitions County Competitions Cornwall Otter Cornwall’s Otter Trophy showcases the long term commitment to wildlife conservation and sustainable farming shown by many farmers across the county. The winner of the Cornwall Otter also goes on to represent the county in the regional Barn Owl Trophy, the winner of which goes forward as our regions entry into the National Silver Lapwing the following year. How to enter? We encourage you to nominate yourself or you can put forward someone else. Due to Covid-19 Government Guidance, we have had to postpone all FWAG SW Competitions for 2020. All entries from this year will be rolled over to the 2021 judging. Timescale for the Cornwall Otter competition 2021* Close of application 31st March* Judging to take place in May - July* Results announced and farm walk arranged for following summer. Winning farm additionally presented with the award at the Royal Cornwall Show. The winner of the Cornwall Otter for 2021 will go through to represent the county in the regional Barn Owl Awards in 2022, the winner of which goes forward as our regions entry into the National Silver Lapwing awards the following year.
