What we do Conservation competitions County Competitions Somerset Otter After relaunching the Somerset Otter in 2019, we are pleased to announce that the competition will be back again in 2020! The Somerset Otter dates back to 1982 and over that time has had an exceptional array of winning farms. The award took a short break, but with so much good practice in Somerset, along with new initiatives, we are pleased to welcome the return of the Somerset Otter! The winner of the Somerset Otter also goes on to represent the county in the regional Barn Owl Trophy in the same year, the winner of which goes forward as our regions entry into the National Silver Lapwing the following year. How to enter? We encourage you to nominate yourself or you can put forward someone else.
