News and blog The FWAG SouthWest Blog FWAG SouthWest Conservation Competitions 2020 are OPEN FOR ENTRIES! Each year, FWAG SouthWest run county competitions to recognise and highlight the fantastic wildlife conservation and environmental work being carried out by farmers across the south west. As of today, Wednesday 1st January 2020, the FWAG SW County Competitions are open for entries! We are asking farmers to nominate a friend or neighbouring farmer who you think fits the bill, or you are encouraged to nominate yourself! You don't have to be a member of FWAG SW to be entered, the competitions are open to everyone. The county competitions are the Cornwall Otter, the Devon Bronze Otter, the Gloucestershire Silver Pintail and the Somerset Otter. The winner of each county award has the opportunity to host an event the following year, we will promote the good work you are doing and you will also represent your county in the regional Barn Owl Trophy the following year! The competitions are only open for a limited time, so don't wait to make your nomination!
